The changing face of 21st century Canada has claimed another historic institution

After a 98-year existence, the Association of Canadian Clubs, at their annual meeting in May in Winnipeg, gently succumbed to dwindling resources, an aging demographic, and the shifting of people's priorities. Thirty-four delegates from six Provinces decided to close the umbrella organization of all Canadian Clubs by the end of 2007.
