"The Human Continuum: Stories of Profound Multicultural Encounters"
A general invitation to the public is issued by the Canadian Club of the Yamaska Valley to meet the remarkable adventurer, humanitarian and international education consultant Yannick Daoudi at its October 5th meeting in West Brome. Dr. Daoudi is the president and founder of the InspirAction Foundation and his journeys have taken him to all corners of the globe in efforts to improve the lives of others.
InspirAction is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization which aims to: inspire by raising awareness of some of the difficult living conditions encountered in the developing world and promoting involvement in international cooperation among Canadians; and act by supporting small-scale projects aiming to improve access to education and health, particularly for children living in developing countries.
“The world is a wonderful place and it is filled with wonderful people” says Yannick who was born in Morroco, grew up in the United States and pursued his education in Montreal before coming to live in the Eastern Townships. “Every time I meet another human being, I take away a little something.” He is known to be a free-spirited traveler, guileless humanitarian, educational consultant, computer scientist, lively professor, perpetual student, strenuous coach, genuine nature-lover, accomplished athlete, amateur film-maker, photographer, and author. His topic on October 5th will be “The Human Continuum: Stories of Profound Multicultural Encounters.”
His presentation will take place on Monday, October 5th at 2:00 p.m., at the Auberge West Brome, 128, Route 139, West Brome, Quebec. All are welcome. The admission fee for non-members is $10.
